Thank you so much everyone for an exuberant Rehearsal on Sunday! We danced a lot and we thank you for your joyful energy, time and your attention. Here is the Tutorial Video of the first part of the Salsa Dance. We will review this material this week and continue to practice.

COSTUMES!!!
Thank you to all who promptly completed your surveys ranking your costume options. Deadline for all surveys is 5pm 3/25/26 so we can notify you of the results of the survey and let you know the cost and due date for costume payment.
We only have about 10 dancers who still need to respond :-) - so here is the Costume Survey Link: 2026 LDG Carnaval Costume Survey. Thank you!
Our goal was to have 20 dancers in each section, to balance all of the five vibrant colors but probably won't happen :-( so we'll see how it plays out once we have everyone's responses. We will do our very best to accommodate all your requests and preferences.
Questions:
I chose the wrong size, what do I do?
If you need to update your size, please do so using the edit function in your google survey - you don't need to complete a new survey :-).
I like the costumes but I want to wear sleeves to cover my arms. Any suggestions? The Lime Green costume has a top that has sheer sleeves as an option for those of us who prefer to wear sleeves. Alternatively, you can purchase a sheer top/or shrug from amazon in Chartreuse, Neon Orange or Lime or Fuschia - and you can add rhinestone bling if you want to make it more shiny.
Gentlemen - Unisex Costume - You can use the survey to select the section you would like to dance in. We will send you separate instructions and bring the men's sample costumes in the colors you selected this weekend.
What's next?:
Once we sort out everyone's costume preferences, we will send out a roster with everyone's name, costume selection and size; sorted by sections. You will review and confirm that all is o.k. with you and we will begin the costume order.
Then, during rehearsals, will divide the group into Sections by Color and introduce you to the amazing Section Leaders who will be able to help you throughout the journey to Carnaval! You'll get to know each other and begin to practice dancing together.
In the meantime, I hope the tutorial video is helpful as you practice at home. I wrote notes on the sequence to help you practice the phrases one at a time and then put them together.
Our Latin Dance Grooves Member Page will be updated with these emails.
